About
Gaypedia is a community and information portal for gay men and women. It predominantly focuses on travel providing a central database of destinations, venues, hotels and events so that you can enjoy your freedom as a gay person whenever and wherever travelling the world.
Gaypedia has been designed to offer the gay community a central encyclopaedia where information can be added and updated by members. This means everyone part of the community can be informed of events and new venues as and when they appear. Gaypedia also allows members to review and provide feedback on the information listed to give further insight for people looking at travelling the globe.
The gay community is limited in options to express themselves and love freely in the world with 40 countries still persecuting gay people. Gaypedia will provide member generated information on equality laws for chosen destinations and areas you can visit without feeling afraid.
Gaypedia will also help you find places at a touch of a button rather than trawling through the net for ‘gay venues in Paris’ or ‘gay friendly hotels in Italy’.
Gaypedia is here to help you find where to go and what to do.
In addition to the travel content, members can form friendship groups; engage in live chat and share travel experiences and arrange events to meet people from across the world.
Gaypedia is sex free where you will not find pornographic content or defamatory comments. We work to ensure there is equality across the board and information available to you is relevant to your needs.
Who is the Team?
The Gaypedia team is a group of individuals who have come together to create an exciting and engaging information portal for the gay community.
We have widely travelled between us, worked extensively in travel and worked closely with the LGBT community. We have spent a considerable amount of time developing Gaypedia to set the foundations in the hope that members will complete our mission – to create a fully-fledged international gay community; experiencing cultures, sharing knowledge, expressing opinions and spreading equality.
The Gaypedia team are continually working to make it an innovative site for gay people and we will not accept partnerships or funding from any organisation that does not work towards or support fulfilling equality.
If you have any comments on how we can make the site better then please drop us a line at comments@gaypedia.com. We promise to reply to your suggestions.
